Hi there,

I am currently trying to render my animation with a transparent background but it does not seem to be working. I have done alot of research into rendering as a Quicktime file with RGB + Alpha chosen and i have had no luck to far. This seems to be the only solution i have found so far but it does not work for me. Is there any other alternatives?

Thanks,

Jamie

Correct answer Rick Gerard

If you use the lossless with alpha preset in the output module it works. Verify that you have transparency by checking the transparency grid and then import your rendered file and verify.

None of the media players will show you a transparent background, it will be black. If you import the footage the transparency will be there.

Without info on actual settings nobody can tell you what might be wrong just like it will bve impossible to advise on alternatives without knowing what system you are on and what the intended use of your files will be.
