rendering problem

I have been playing with adobe after effects and when I wanted to render my composition it just cut out an effect, it rendered a video without it.I am new to video editing.

Without any specific info about your system, the contents of the composition, where and how the effect is used, render settings and so on nobody can tell you much. Just saying that it doesn't work is not useful. Start by checking your hardware acceleration settings and update your graphics driver. Conflicts with GPU acceleration seem to cause a lot of trouble lately. Beyond that a lot more specifc info is required.
