Rendering problem

Ok..... After about 8 hours of total editing, I was ready to render. I go to render out of ae cc 2017 and then once I do render, and error message pops up, and there is a goat noise signaling an error.

The error message reads

"After effects warning: Logged one error - "error: rendering error while writing file to "C:\(Place I saved file to)". An output module failed. The file may be damaged or corrupted. (-1610153464)"

I can't just re-do it due to how long I spent on this, so I really need your help in fixing it

Thanks,

Domenick

Hi Domenick,

Did you end up getting your project rendered? Let us know what you did to succeed.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hey!

I also had a rendering problem - it always stopped at a certain file - so I changed the specific file (actually I reduced the size). After that the problem was solved. Maybe you could try this as well when it always stops at the same position.

Hope that helps.

Good luck

Without actual system info, comp and render settings nobody can tell you much. That said, start by chosing a different output format liek an image sequence or in case of a clip format another CoDec and settings.

I tried changing the file to avi and every time it gets 1/4th of the way through it says After Effects stopped working

As mylenium said - try to render to image sequence - even if it will crash you will be able to resume rendering from place where it crushed.
