Replace with After Effects Composition Issues!

Hi guys! Im really hoping that someone can help me understand why After Effects will not just leave my text files alone. I mainly edit "gaming" vidoes for youtubers and I do a lot with subtitles. So I add stroke, drop shadow, etc... BUT when I try to "replace with after effects composition" for the sake of tracking text to an in-game characters head using AE's motion tracker, it completely ruins how the text looks. The stroke gets skinnier and the drop shadow is completely gone! I've tried to look up why this is and the best thing I can find was about how AE interperates text files, and it doesn't share the same effects panel with PP.

I need some way to protect the look of the text as it goes into AE, any ideas?

Maybe a different approach will help. You can create the text in After Effects. You can edit After Effects text in Premiere in the Effect Control Panel/Source button. You can also duplicate After Effects text by selecting alt or option and dragging the text in the timeline and then changing the copy as mentioned.

Thanks for the response! Unfortunately I have tried that approach and the text just didn't come out the way I'd hoped it would. For ex. the stoke is unable to be put to the "outside" of the lettering and I tried fudging with it to get it close to how it was in PP, but the letters ended up overlapping. I could pull them apart a little but it just didn't look right to me.

Hey David, I just responded to your post on the Premiere community! Will leave this post up on the After Effects community as well in case anyone has any other ideas.
