Question

"Replace With After Effects Composition" leads to "The importer reported a generic error."

Hello everybody,

I have this issue with Premiere Pro / After Effects:

Sometimes when I try to replace some clips with an After Effects composition I get an error message from Premiere Pro saying: "The importer reported a generic error.". I have no idea why it happens. I tried it with multiple different clips and different amounts of clips and with some it works, with some it doesn't.

Hope someone can help me.

Sincerely,

Nicolas !

Try resetting the preferences:

Unfortunately, didn't work.

Is there a limited amount of clips you can create an after effects composition with?

Hey Nicolas,

Which versions of Premiere Pro & After Effects are you using? [FAQ: How to find the exact version of Premiere Pro you're using?]

Which OS are you on?

Dynamic link works between similar versions of the products.

Thanks,

Rameez
