Replacing a composition in After effects from Premiere Pro

Hi Everyone, Hoping there is a quick solution to this. 

I need to edit a clip that I've already edited in after effects but I'd like to take a couple of seconds of this clip to add 3d tracking motion in AE. 

Is there a way to do this without effecting the original? I've tried duplicating, nesting and Subsequencing the clip in premiere pro but it still edits the original version.
