Question

Roto Brush 2 Black Screen while switching to Best Quality

Whenever I select Roto Brush 2 Best Quality it says " After Effects Warning : Unknown Exception" and preview display goes black.

When I switch to Standard Quality, it's working fine.

I am working on a 4K 60 fps footage of 7 seconds.

You should set the Comp Panel resolution to Full before opening the Paint workspace and using Rotobrush. It would help if you also trimmed, then pre-compose all footage that needs to be Rotobrushed. Make sure you Trim the Pre-comp to the layer length. Pre-composing will avoid having a clip in the Layer panel longer than the clip in the comp. It also allows you to pre-mask areas you don't need to worry about and even do a little hand rotoscoping or manually roto in Mocha AE before Rotobrush is applied to the pre-comp. I almost always run a little color correction before I pre-compose to improve the edge detail and contrast in the shot so Rotobrush will have a little easier time finding the edges.

I suggested the Paint workspace because it is more efficient and gives you access to all needed tools without digging through menus.

Let us know if any of those suggestions help.
