Rotobrush 2 too slow

I'm trying to use rotobrush 2 but after the editing is useless as it keeps propagating and rendering m making any speed of playback more like watching grass grow. How can I fix this?

Are you freezing your propogation after you're done editing? https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/roto-brush-refine-matte.html

I segmented the clip (it is a 2 min clip) into small 15 sec segments and did the process for each and freezing.

Breaking the clip up into sections is a reasonable way to handle a long shot.

Two minutes is a very long clip for any kind of rotoscoping, or any effects work for that matter. The average shot in a feature film is between 3 and 7-seconds. Your comps should not be longer than a single shot in the final movie unless you need a transition between two shots that cannot be done in any other way.

If you need the entire 2 minute shot as one shot in the final edit, then you are kind of stuck. If you are going to edit the shot, do that before you do any effects work. There is no reason to spend time on any frames that will not be in the final edit.

Without any info about your system, the contents of the project, RB settings, screenshots and so on we can't really tell you much. From GPU acceleration not working right to your footage just not being RB-friendly this could be anything. You need to be more specific.
