Rotoscope Goes Crazy When Freezing

Hi there,

Like I stated in the title, after rotoscoping, I go ahead to freeze then it goes south and I get weird selections like the images attached.

Kindly help.

Sounds like one of those pesky M1 related specific issues. Since I'm not a Mac user, I can't advise secifically, but have you considered just uninstalling the whole Adobe stuff, cleaning out the folders and then reinstalling everything fresh?

I'll try that and come back to this post to share my result, thanks.

In the meantime, I had to break the clip apart and rotoscope in second inrervals. Felt like a better workaround compared to having to mask each frame.

Without actual info about your system, your Rotobrush settings, your footage and so on we can't realyl tell you much. just one thing is for sure: Such low-contrast footage in black & white and with DOF is never going to be a walk in the park. there are just very few "real" edges to latch on and depending on what you want to do, you may need to explore other avenues liek using traditional masking.

Hi Mylenium,

Apologies for just responding. I got no email notification that my post has been responded to.

This problem wasn't limited to this clip alone, the same thing happened with some other shots too which I manually confirmed that each frame was fine while rotoscoping BUT those same frames that were fine during preview of the rotoscope, went crazy during freezing.

My system is an M1 Max MacBook Pro with 64 GB of RAM & I'm running version 22.2 of the software. I noticed that 22.6 is available but the CC app keeps telling me that this is the latest version of the software.
