Rubberhose 3 Artwork Distortion

Hello AE community! I am an amateur AE user so please bear with me.

- I am using Rubberhose 3 plugin with an Illustrator Artwork.

- I would like to rig the artwork itself and not create a new hose because i like the artwork and i don't think i will be able to mimic the same using a hose from scratch.

- I am adding puppet pins to the Illustrator Layer in AE. Here is the original Artwork (a tail) 

- Here is how it looks after the Puppet Position Pins i add in AE

- When i create a new RubberPin (Base : Tip) for the given layer it ends up being completely distorted as following  

- If i replace the Puppet Position Pins with Puppet Starch Pins (except for very the first and the very last pin) and then add RubberPin then the artwork remains normal BUT this makes the puppet too rigid to wave using RubberHose styling such as Wavy Gravy.

- I have tried playing with the lenght of the hose, roundness etc but I cannot make the Rig work with RubberPin Hose and AE Puppet Position Pins.

- I know DUIK has a script that also does the same but i would like to get this working using RubberHose.

Any help or guidance is much appreciated!
