Running as Admin breaks drag-n-drop?

Hey Community & other Humans,

So today while trouble shooting a problem with a plugin I ran AE as admin,  When I did I could no longer drag and drop files into the project panel.

Does anyone know the explanation for this?

Thanks

I'm old time AE user so I'm still importing files in traditional way so I use dragndrop method rarely. But as far as I remember in Admin mode you are not able to drag and drop.
Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere works the same way. And it is not because of network drive. Files from standard HDD/SSD wont import that way also if in Admin mode.
That's more Os restriction than Adobes.

You are probably trying to drop a file from a network share. If you run AE (or any) application in admin mode, mapped network shared folders might not be available. Can you import the file by importing the normal way in AE? (right click => import in the project panel.)
