I worked on project about 5 days, last two days i opened my project from AE home window in "resent projects" , i am 100% sure that i saved all changes during last two days. Today i was trying to open project from AE home window - but it was project without last changes , like without 2 days of work. I tried to open a project from folder , but same - it is old savings- and even the date of changes is old , missing 2-4 days. I search all my folders on computer , AE autosave folder , but couldn't find the project . How could it disappear?

Other than searching for the project name I have no good suggestions that will help you find a project you lost.

I do have a workflow suggestion that will help you prevent lost files in the future. It's pretty simple. Establish a file structure and file naming workflow that you religiously follow with every project. I have been using the same basic naming and filing system I was taught when I started in this business 50 years ago and film reels were labeled by marking the leader, filed on shelves, and paperwork was kept in a file cabinet. The naming and filing conventions are still the same and I can find anything in any project I have managed. All Folders include a numeric date starting with the Year, then the date. The folder name also includes a project or client name and project number. For example, I started a new project for one of my clients yesterday and the main project folder is named "21-1012_Superior A2350"

Inside that folder, I have a Footage folder and an Edits folder, and an Agreements folder, and a Notes folder. The Footage folder contains aliases (pointers) to the footage files on other drives or at least notes that tell where the footage is. This bookkeeping keeps things straight and it is the only way I know of to reliably know where all your assets are. I can also tell you that in the last 25+ years of working with other digital artists, only about one out of 10 has any standard file keeping and naming structure and most of them spend a lot of time looking for things they misplace.

If a folder search does not turn up recent files that include your missing project, it is probably gone.
