screen resolution

 can someone help i just got after affects and i put in a video and it says its at 100% width and height but theres black around the video and when i stretch it out it looks bad and the quality gets bad

your composition size is bigger than your video footage, to fix this go to composition setting and set the resolution to 1440x900 

 

or scale-up you footages
