Scripting - change default shape colors

Hi all,

Is there any way to access the default shape colors (Fill and Stroke) by scripting and change them?
I thought these settings were saved in the AE prefs file but no. There are two sections named "["Shape Graphic Preferences (Fill) v1"]" and ["Shape Graphic Preferences (Stroke) v1"] which have RGB information but they don't actually change those colors.
