Search Field in Timeline Panel always activated, whether I want it or not

I'm having a minor interface inconvenience. I don't know if it's me or After Effects...

I am working on multiple comps, and switch between them via the Timeline Panel. The problem is that there are certain Comps/Timelines where the search box panel in the timeline is always activated when I switch to it. Meaning I might quickly switch timelines, hit the keyboard shortcut for a ram preview - but nothing happens because all I've done is type 0 into the search field. I have to click away, then hit 0 again to get my preview. I might then work on other comps with no problem, but the search panel on this particular timeline will always be pre-selected when I return to it.

It's a minor frustration. Anyone know what's going on?

Thanks for that - and yes, that worked... until the next time! This happens to me every few days. Not sure if it's a bug, or something I'm doing.
