Send to After Effects not working from Painter

Hi, trying to send logo I extruded via Illustrator and Painter using this tutorial - 

 

In Painter, I use the ‘send to After Effects’ shortcut and the error I receive is this 

I’m operating on a MacOS and saw that there was a bug fix from August 2025 regarding this, but do you have any suggestions or recommendations?

    Hi Nishu, it was a specific 3D model, looks like there may have been some issues with it because I tried a default model and it worked. Should’ve tried that first, but I’m still new to the Painter-After Effects pipeline. Love what I’m seeing thus far!

    That's not ideal.

     

    I am able to export from Painter to After Effects without any issues. Can you share the following details:

    1. What version of After Effects and Painter are you using?

    2. Is it happening with a specific 3D model?

    3. Do you have After Effects Beta installed alongside the release build? If so, the Send to handoff sometimes targets the wrong one.

    Can you try changing the output directory to a different location from the Export panel in Painter and then send it to After Effects?
