Sequence Layers Not Working At All

Hi,

I'm trying to sequence over 10 layers, and when I try to use Sequence Layers with Overlap and a few frames (subtracted from the total time in the timeline), nothing happens at all. I've tried a different project (just one rectangle duplicated, nothing else in the project) to see if it was my comp that was doing it, but it's not that. It just...doesn't do anything, except when I use a very low number (5 or 10), then it sequences everything 5/10 frames from the end (like it's supposed to).

Is there something I'm doing wrong here? Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks.

I've not had this issue, but as Mylenium says, it might be something to do with the layers themselves.  Are they particularly large image files?

Not huge, but I think it was just AE being weird. It sometimes just doesn't do what it's supposed to do and I have to recreate the layer to make it work. Thanks for your help.
Mylenium, I am so going to look on the Scripts site. I'm just getting my feet wet with the Java (I am not a coder), and it's actually fun, so that's very interesting to me, thanks!

Without any info about your compositions and the layers we can't tell you much. Any chance one of the layers is simply too long and the overlap could not be accomodated within the avialable comp time? A screenshot might help to clarify. That said, there are of course tons of scripts on AEScripts.com that re-create the function and expand upon it with more advanced features, so maybe that can solve your issue.
