Set Matte doesn’t follow when used on a Precomp
Hello everyone,
One more question about the Set Matte effect. But this one doesn’t simply solve by “precomp + activate Continusly Rasterize”, I promise.
I’ve created a sample AE file if you want to take a look. It will be much easier to understand.

To summarize, I’m able to use the Set Matte inside a Precomp, but when I use the Precomp inside the main Composition, I can’t change the size or the position of the Precomp because the Set Matte doesn’t reflect the changes.
More precision :
- I’ve used a Set Matte in a Precomp.
- Then I’ve used this Precomp in my main Composition.
- Now, I need to zoom on the Precomp (in the final project, it will be a zoom on a map).
If I don’t activate the “Continuously Rasterize” on my Precomp, I can zoom, but the quality of the Precomp will be altered and will “pixelate” the more I zoom.
If I activate the “Continusly Rasterize” on my Precomp, the Set Matte effect stop working when I begin to zoom on the Precomp. The reason is probably because of the AE render order (Effect first, Transformation after).
=> Is it possible to activate the “Continuously Rasterize” on my Precomp (to keep the quality high), AND keep the Set Matte working when I change the size/zoom of the Precomp ?
PRECOMP WITH SET MATTE

COMPOSITION WITHOUT "Continuously Rasterize" (Set Matte don't follow)

COMPOSITION WITH "Continuously Rasterize" (Set Matte works, but zoom pixelate)
