Is there a way (script) to attached selected Shape layer points to a null?

    There is a script that comes with the latest builds of AE that attaches nulls to paths. There are plenty of options. It is not hard. I do it all the time. Check the help files by searching nulls to paths in the AE search Help field and you'll find: Create Nulls From Paths panel

     

    There is also a video tutorial.

    And there are a bunch more that are pretty good.

    Your reply is incomplete - what part of attaching points(!) to a null confuses you?

     

    • I create a null
    • I select Shape points and pick whip to Null (knowing full well this wont work).
    • Shock - "Expression error"

     

    If there's no way to do it -- fine.
