shortcut issue

Hi there,

so I am using the latest 2021 Version of After Effects in English, but I work with a German keyboard
So basically, I tried the shortcut "Alt + [" to trim the in-point of a layer. Unfortunately, this shortcut doesn't work for whatever reason.
Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?
Cheers

You must customize your Keyboard layout in After Effects. That command only works with the english keyboard. Go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts. Look for TRIM and you can remove the assigned shortcuts for Trim in and Trim Out commandas. Then type the one you need. Probably After Effects will warn you about ALT+[ because it is used to select next mask (if you have more than one mask in your layer).
