Signing-Up For Beta-Testing AND Upcoming Features List, Are They Real?

I am having issues with Cinema 4D Comp Renderer and Advanced 3D Comp Renderer, and finally got contacted by Adobe's agent, who told me that there somewhere is Upcoming Features section - is anyone aware of such one? I was unable to find one, however it would be essential to at least approximately know on what features devs are working on, to be able to plan the R&D for the ongoing and future projects. E.g. they are implementing the Advanced 3D renderer, which has many good things the Cinema 4D renderer has, except you can't Accept/Ignore lights - even there is no lights at all, the layers are shaded. Where can I find IF they plan to implement that feature? Are they going to abandon/assimilate C4D?
Then, the agent said, the only way to get in contact with the devs (and apparently find out about the planned features) is to sign up for beta-testing, post in Community forums that you are willing. Where can I sign up with that? I know there is https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/after-effects-beta.html however, how it works? Am I automatically becoming one after installing the AE Beta version? Am I  included in some dedicated discussion group where info is shared? I am reading negative comments about the devs.. is it worth that?
