Software for animation in fulldome format

Hi,

I want to create animation for fulldome format and searching for the best solution for my project. It will be abstract animation based on music, something similar to this Tamara Qaddoumi - Flowers Will Rot on Vimeo. But do not such "flat", maybe with combining 2D and 3D animation (for example, I want use the scene with flying through the starfield). I found that After Effects will be the most suitable software for me, because it has embedded VR tools with fulldome converter. But later I get in stuck when was searching how to do such "flow" animation in After Effects. I had done a couple of motion design tutorials, but someone told me, that animation mentioned above has been created in Adobe Animate. And now I am really frustrated and do not know what do. I am a beginner in animation, but have an experience with graphic design and worked in Indesing, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro, 3dsMax.

So If you can help/advice how to deal with my problem I will be very grateful.
