Source to Effects & Masks Missing Drop-Down Menu

Hello, I need some help.

I'm watching a tutorial online and noticed that I do not have a SOURCE drop-down menu option to switch the source of an effect to 'effects & masks'. Is there a reason why I do not have that option? Is there a way for me to get that back there?
