SourceRecAtTime expression with round corners issue!!

I'm using the SourceRec expression to change size/position of shape using the text layer, but it has a strange effect on the roundness value. I want slightly rounded corners, but the change from 0-1 is either not rounded or fully rounded. Any thoughts?
