Still image only showing 1 frame instead of the length of the composition

Updated to version 17.1 a while ago (don't dare to update to the newest version due to TO MANY BUGS!)
Now when importing images they only show in the first frame instead of the length of the composition...

I know how to prolong the frame by using "Freeze frame" but that is so tedious...

Does anybody know how to avoid this issue?

I simply Dragged the layer edge in timeline by holding Alt key. Worked. Need to adjust key frames later.

If anyone ever experience the same issue. It's the file name - rename the file without spaces or special characters - worked for me

I am suddenly having this problem too, today. I checked the preferences and it's already set to "Length of Composition" in the Import section. This is so frustrating, what is the reason?

Thanks for reaching out.

Go to After Effects preferences > Import > make sure that "Length of Composition" is selected instead of custom duration.

Hi Nishu,
The Preference setting has been set on Length of Composition all the time, I never changed it!

I did a small experiment and set the length to 5 sec. saved the file and then imported the footage, but it still doesn't work. The graphic footage is not being prolonged to fill out the whole 5 sec.

Do you have any other suggestions?
