Strange Ghost Frames in timeline.

Hello everyone. Hoping someone can help me.

I know the app pretty well and i am getting something ive never seen before:

In the timeline, a few frames after a layers out point, residual frame seem to hang around appear in the render. I believe it has something to do with a stored render preview or graphics card bug because when i purge the cache and memory they sometimes change. It will show up even with there are no other layers even in that portion of the timeline, no adjustment layers, no hidden/shy layers, nothing. Has anyone come across this?

Edit>Purge>All Memory & Disk Cache ... should clear the ghost frames. Such issues are not uncommon with particle systems but they also appear every now and then.

Thanks for the response!

I've tried that already. But no luck, it is soo weird. What finally worked
was:
I ended up making a precomp of the problem layers and trimming that precomp
to the "work area" I wanted. Only after that it Finally it went away. so
strange that even before trimming the precomp it would still show up in my
master.

Anyways thanks for the response. it's still bugging me why it was even
happening.
