Stroke issue of alignment in after effects

Hello, please I am having issues with my stroke in after effects, anytime I draw a stroke with or without shift and align the anchor point to the centre. I always get an extra anchor point that I can not always edit, which always give me issues when I want to align the stroke to the centre of my composition.
