Suggestion: Have precomped .c4d files renderable within it's parent composition.
Hello, maybe an awesome* suggestion (*also probably uber techy and difficult; but it would be HUGE):
I have a composition utilizing AE's new Cinema 4D renderer where my camera move is picking up my "continuously rasterize/collapse transformations" layers and honoring their 3D bevels/extrusions - which has been a great improvement, thank you! - but I bumped into an icon that would have been perfect with the ability to render actual polygon based geometry (Icon was a Government type dome) ... I realized how awesome it would be if you could go into said precomp, add a C4D file layer, place in your geometry, and then, within After Effects, have the parent comp with C4D Renderer use the AE camera to render the precomped .C4D file's geometry based on it's hierarched camera.
Basically taking any need away to duplicate camera moves from After Effects to Cinema or visa-versa .
Being able to use .c4d files as geometry for the Cinema Renderer would be so immensely helpful!
Anyhow, you guys are fantastic - figured this could be a nice nugget to try and integrate into a version sometime 🙂
