Switching/looping between 2 Illustrator files in AE

Hey Adobe Peeps,

I would like to create a super simple AE file. I have 2 Illustrator documents. They are effectively identical, the colors in one is just inverted.

Thus in AE I want to create an 'animation' that switches between these 2 files and put them on an endless loop.

The idea is to get a single image with a psychedelic moving effect.

Now I'm thinking this is probably the simplest project ever, so can someone please help me with a quick explanation/tutorial?

Thanks!

do you mean you want to dissolve between the two? if this is a loop, I am guessing you want to create a GIF out of the video?. if this is just a still image that dissolves into another, simply create keyframes for opacity of the top layer from 100 to 0 then after a while from 0 to 100. render the video, open in Photoshop and save for web to create your gif.

Great, thank you for your feedback! I managed to get it working by fiddling around a little!
