TDL outline contains triangles that are too small to be rendered (no fonts)

I am trying to rotate a vector I created in AI (attached). I am following a youtube tutorial. One action is to choose the option: Create Shapes from Vectored Layer.

When I perform this task AE returns the error above.  I search and most answers seem to point to font issues. I have no fonts in drawing.
