Text alignment when working with multiple languages

Greetings,

I am currently working on a project at my job that has to be in both English and Arabic (which is Right to Left aligned). However when setting the text engine to Middle Eastern, I begin to face alignment issues when typing numbers in English. For instance, when writing 5:30 - 6:00 in English it becomes 6:00 - 5:30.

It is not practical for me to have separate projects for the same animation of different languages and having to switch the text engine every time I switch between them.

Now I know I can type in reverse and it will show up correctly, but bare in mind this is for a template that might be edited later by someone else.

I'm wondering if there's an option or a solution I've missed, and I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

Regards,

Hi,

So I contacted the customer support. I was told it could be a bug, and if it is, it won't be fixed until the next update. But I will be contacted.

...Oh well

Hi ExoticKhalid,

Are you on Windows or Mac?

Can you share a screenshot of how it looks like?

Have you tried with different Arabic font styles?

Thanks,

Rameez

Is there a way other than the forum to get Adobe's technical support?

Hi,

I've got my own personal subscription on a different email, and the one I've screenshot is provided by my work (cc for teams).
