Text in After Effects v23.0.0 is not working properly

I have run into an issue with text in the latest version of after effects. It keeps incerting periods and indenting line breaks. When I try to delete a character, the writing cursor jumps to somewhere else in the sentence or paragraph. If I try to delete a character or space from the paragraph, it starts removing characters at the end the sentence. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this? Thanks

Hi @thisisSamJ,

Thank you for reporting this issue. Is it possible you've switched to Right-to-Left text in the Paragraph panel? Punctuation, indenting, and characters at the end of lines act differently when in that mode.  

 

Try changing the control shown above back to Left-to-Right and let us know if that resolves the issues.

    Thank you for reporting this issue. Is it possible you've switched to Right-to-Left text in the Paragraph panel? Punctuation, indenting, and characters at the end of lines act differently when in that mode.  

     

    Try changing the control shown above back to Left-to-Right and let us know if that resolves the issues.
