Text Preset issue

I can't remember from where I download this effects.  There are tons of sites that offers free, simple and easy to use effects and presets... the so called time-saving utlilities.  They are just 10 presets.  The templates where the presets works are my old projects that I use as templates.  They don't have any particular instruction if not just to drag the effect over the text.  If I do it on a new composition inside an old project it works well.  If I create a new project nothing happens, the text become hidden and without any kind of "animation".

As Gutterfish already pointed out, you haven't provided nearly enough information liek what presets you got from where and how they are applied. Still, I think it simply boils down to that you didn't follow the instructions and the prerequisites are not met like having markers or custom expression controls referenced by the code. That's most likely why it doesn't work on any of your projects whereas the templates/ demo examples of course are set up correctly. I suggest you start by re-reading the instructions. Anything more will require much more info.

Not enough information.  "Some free presets"?   Maybe what are they?  whare did you get them?  How are they supposed to work?

Maybe there is something set in the "existing template" that is not set in your new project?  What is th eexisting template?  Did you make it?

If you were just using a native bounce effect...what exactly is name of it:  Text Bounce, Scale Bounce, Roll Bounce...etc.  There is no native ffx called just "Bounce" that I am aware of.  

So if you could explain exactly what ffx you are using (if it's something you downloaded you need to be specific about where you got and how you installed it and how its supposed to work)

Sorry but you just haven't provided enough information.  So many variables in a program like AE and when you start throwing in third party presets and templates it's nearly impossible for an outsider to troubleshoot.
