The equivalent of Apple Motion drop zones in After Effects

I'm making the transition from Final Cut Pro X/Apple Motion to After Effects. Here's my question:

In Motion there are these things called drop zones. They let you make formatted templates into which you can drop multiple videos in FCPX. I'm trying to identify the equivalent in After Effects, but I can't seem to get there. Any tips greatly appreciated. Explainer videos even more.

Thank you! Matthew

The equivalent you're looking for is Media Replacement and this feature is available as a development feature in both AE and PPro. You can develop AE MoGRTs with the Media Replacement feature, for use in PPro. More info here - https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/replace-media-motion-graphics-templates.html
