Question

"The Photoshop Library failed to load because the device has no free space"

Hello everyone,

When I open my project in AE, I get the following error: "The Photoshop Library failed to load because the device has no free space" and then another saying "The Photoshop Library operation failed", which I can't close (every time I click on OK, it disppears and reappears). This is a project on which I have been working for several months and is quite large, and once it is open, no more error messages appear.

The only thing I can to open the project is to restart my Mac.

What could be causing this? Is this a RAM issue? I don't know which device AE is referring to, since I have several scratch disks, and every one has enough free space.

I have a MacBook Pro with MacOSX 10.15.7 and 16GB RAM, with AE CC 18 installed.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Mikołaj

Hello Nishu,

Thanks a lot for your answer. It seems this is a Photoshop-related issue... I'll try purging the Photoshop cache - which I indeed don't do very often 🙂
