The render in AE stops for a while, and when it continues, it renders a separated file

issue with the rendering of the files "SB00001523D0138.MOV" and "SB00001523D0139.MOV" in After Effects "PC 1"

  • We have tried pulling a Render "test2" using another file (with the same format as the Render that has the problem)
  • The "test2" (Different File) Rendered without problems (on PC 1)
  • The "test3" (SB00001523D0138.MOV in a New Precomposition) has the same problem (so it is not a Precomposition problem i guess)(in PC 1)
  • When launching the Render in other PCs , no problem occurs. (then the problem is not in the file i guess)

Hi @Helius4k,

Thank you for sharing the project with us, and for your patience in my response. In rendering the compositions in the project you shared, I'm not seeing the rendered file broken up into multiple files when using the same settings as the existing items in the Render Queue.

If you update to the latest version of After Effects (24.4), do you continue to see this issue with this project? And are you seeing it with any other projects on that same machine? If so, a log file from After Effects would be helpful for us to get more information on why the output file is being split up.

To enable logging, use Help > Enable Logging, then restart AE, then try to render out the problematic composition. You can then use Help > Revealing Logging File to show the folders where After Effects created logs. The file we need is called "After Effect Log.txt". Please feel free to direct-message it to me here on the forums, as it does contain some file path names. Please let me know here if you have sent a direct message.

Thanks again,

- John, After Effects Engineering Team

Hi @Helius4k,

Thank you for reporting this issue. Would you be able to share the project file with us?

The screenshot appears to show you are rendering to a network device—does the problem occur if you render to local storage?

Thanks for any additional information you can provide,

- John, After Effects Engineering Team
