Time slider question.

Hello.

This is my first post so I'll try to explain in as much detail as possible. So I have some issues with the time slider. For example, when I create comp "A" and it's of 1 minute. In that I created a precomp called "B" which is of 40 seconds. So when I am on comp "A" and I'm at 20 seconds, and I go into comp "B" and I do some changes on some layers there and then I use "Tab" key and come back to comp "A", the time slider moves to some different frame altogether. I want it to stay at the same location I left it in comp "B". Because I wanna add some keys on some layers in comp "A" at the same time. Can anyone help ?

Start by checking whether "Synchronize times across compositions" is actually checked in the preferences. It should be on by default. Otherwise my gut feeling tells me you may not quite understand how AE's nesting and concept of "fluid time" works, but it's difficult to make sense of your description, especially without knowing your comp settings and other stuff like what the composition start times are set to, possible use of time-remapping or different framerates and some other factors. Screenshots would presumably be a lot more informative.
