How can i time-stretch a layer without it affecting other layers within my composition?

    Layers are completely independent in After Effects unless you use parenting, expressions or effects to tie one layer to another. Please describe your workflow and provide screenshots with the modified properties of the layer(s) that are giving you problems. Just select the layer, press U twice, PrintScreen and paste to the forum.
