Toggle Mask and Shape Path Visibility Bug Making me sad.

Hey guys,

 

Since CC21 I have a bug which drives me a little demented.

When I play back something and then  uncheck it in the Timeline,

'Toggle Mask and Shape Path visibility' turns itself off, for no reason.

    Same happens to me. A quick google says it has been a bug for years and years. It'd be nice if it got fixed.

    Hi steveignite,

     

    Could you share more details about the issue? Does it disable the same way as shown in the screen recording posted in the original thread? What are your system specifications and version of After Effects?

    Hi Nishu,

     

    AE V 25.1.0 system spec is Win 11 - have recently updated hardware, but the problem for me has been there for maybe a couple of years and is still there, so doesn't seem hardware related and has been there for a few versions. Current spec is RTX 6000 Ada and 128GB RAM, AMD Ryzen Threadripper.

     

    I'll try to record a video. Part of the issue is that I don't always know when it's going to do it - I only realise that the toggle is turned off once it's already turned off... I'm definitely not hitting ctrl-shift H, though. It's usually when I've got lots of comps open on the timeline tab, and often if I switch back to a different comp I realise it's been turned off.

    Hey Nishu, I use 18.2.1 and yes, I have.

     

    The same issue happens on another machine I have at home...
