Toggle Switches/Modes disappeared

I am using AE CS5.5 and the Toggle Switches/Modes button at the bottom of the timeline has disappeared.

Any suggestions please

    you either have both Switches/Modes shown or neither. Enable/disable them with the icons in the bottom left of your timeline, first 2 are for Switches/Modes

      You can either reset your workspace, or right-click on the column header area and choose to show either the switches or modes column.

        Resetting the workspace doesn't help

        but the right click is a good work around.
