Tracking Golf tracer shots zoom in

Hey everybody I am creating some golf tracer shots for a golf competition. When the camera is steady making the shot tracer is pretty easy. It's when the camera zooms in I'm having difficulty. Attached is an example video (no tracer added yet) and would like to know if it's even possible to create a tracer and have it track the tracer while the camera zooms in. Also, it's an organic zoom in it's not digital. It's the way they shot it. Working on a super fast PC and everything is updated.

I suggest you take a look at BorisFX Mocha Pro - it’s paid but it will also pay for itself in a short time. The kind folks there would love to take a look at a shot like this and provide you with a well-defined workflow that will provide pristine results in a relatively short time.

It’s been ages but I recall doing a double tracking as part of the workflow. The first track would stabilize the shot and the second would track the ball and put in the tracers/graphics. Then you would do a reverse stabilization at the end of it all.
