Transform controls disappeared

While editing my comp, my transform handles just randomly disappeared! I've tried the following:

- The column for switches are on, as noted here

- I've tried ctrl +shift + h as noted here, no effect

I'm using After Effects 24 on a Mac. What else could it be?
