"Transform Repeater: Position" Scale Sensitivity Issue

Hi there, has anyone experienced "transform repeater: x or y position" scale sensitivity issue?

I have to scale the x-axis, for example, to 6000+ to only be able to move the repeated shapes very slightly, and I don't have a large composition.

Is there any setting that I could have messed up by accident? Everything should be default though as I just downloaded it on my windows laptop - no luck starting a new comp, still expereincing the same problem. However, position scale with my older layers created long time ago were normal

Resizing the Rectangle 1 shape will be more efficient than scaling the layer down to 3% and then adding the repeater. The renderer looks at every pixel on every frame and then runs calculations. The render time will increase if you scale the layer down by 3% instead of reducing the Rectangle size by 97*.  When the offset value is 6000 it doesn't take many copies to exceed the maximum frame size that After Effects supports.

 

Reduce the size of the rectangle, and then hold down the Ctrl/Cmnd key while dragging the Y position offset to accurately drag a value by 1/10 of a pixel instead of a whole pixel. 

 

I multiplied the X value of a comp-sized rectangle by .03 to give me an effective scale of 3%. Then I added a Repeater, changed the Transform Position value from 100, 0 to 0, 100, then held down the Ctrl/Cmnd key and clicked and dragged the Y value to get this result:

Unless there is a specific reason that I don't understand, just reducing the size of the rectangle and setting the scale to 100% should solve your issue. I hope this helps.
