Help!! I am trying to export a handwritten font on a transparent background to use in Final cut however everytime I export it there is a black background. I've watched several Youtube videos and nothing seems to work. The Output Module is set to Lossless Alpha. Why is it still exporting with a black background?

Correct answer Andrew Yoole

Quicktime Animation, PNG and Lossless codecs also support alpha channels.

There is a default Output Module in the Render Queue called Lossless With Alpha.

Use alpha channels, masks, and mattes in After Effects

If you're on a Mac, use Quicktime's ProRes 4444 codec, RGB+Alpha, Straight (i.e. NOT Premultiplied),  Millions (or Trillions) of colors +.

This solved my problem. The other answer by Andrew was very informative, but didn't provide the correct solution.

Here's the screenshots of the settings Dave provided that worked for me.
