Trapcode Particular path issue

Hi Guys

So I'm trying to create a path with particualr following the path. I can get the path done and link to an Emitter (light). However, even though the particles follow the path theyre really spread out across the scene and I cant seem to get them just to follow the path closer

Any ideas to rectify this?

Thanks

Larry 🙂

Set the light type to spot light, in particular set the emitter "direction" to directional, set the "emitter size XYZ" to a small number. You can use the spot light's cone angle to determine the spreading cone of emmited particles

Without any info on what settings you used this isn't going anywhere. Usually the trick is to simply balance out the physics values, which sometimes can mean that you have to use utterly overcranked, irrational settings, but there's really no "Dial in X!" recipe as due to how this stuff interacts it can change with every new project. Either way, if you offer a screenshot of the relevant settings we might be able to advise, but otehrwise I'm afraid this is one of those things where it's easy to just slap on one of the presets, but a whole other discipline to master the pluig-in and its many settings itself. You can spend endless time learning these finer points.
