hello everyone ! So I would like to test out after effect 2017 because I currently have CS5  on my personal computer and would like to do motion design related work and the tutorial i've found start to work with CS6 version or plus
However it seems like it's impossible for me to find on adobe website/cloud the trial version for after effect CC 2017, the only version available that it gives me is the 2018 one however I'd rather stick with 2017 or 2015 as those are more stable versions and I already worked on them during various classes

Does anyone know if its possible to get those trial versions please ? Thank you a lot in advance all !
have a nice day

After downloading Adobe CC app and creating Adobe ID you can download and use as a trial for (if nothing changed since last time i checked) 7 days any AE CC version from CC (2013) up. Just look for previous versions tab in Adobe CC app.
Here how to do that: Download/Install FAQ: How do I install previous versions of Creative Cloud Apps?

To be honnest I'm not able (no time) to recreate and check how exactly trial of AE works now and what you can download or not, but to be honnest - it actually doesn't matter if you will download and use CC18 or earlier version. There is not enough time to stick to any of versions because you have 7 days trial so I think it is better to stick to newest version (as it have all features of  earlier versions and new stuff) and have fun with new features.
