trim path path from ai vector

Hello everybody,

I have a basic problem. This initial form is a "O" from a font. I need specially this font. i have it on illustrator, png as well.

And I extract from the ai file the shape on after effects directly. but the problems is that i have 2 differentes paths ( picture one, as you can see attached ) and currently when i am doing trim paths the "O" letters is recovered with red instead of just the stroke of the "O".( picture number 2)

Find attached the picture to illustrate what i'm trying to tell you. Do you have any ideas how can I improve this little issue please ?
