Trouble exporting video

Hi,

I am trying to export this after effects video, but its taking hours, can someone please tell me what settings are best for a quick, good quality export please?

Are you monitoring resource usage? If it stops a few minutes in that typically either means you run out of temp disk space or the GPU buffers clog up. In the latter case simply switching to software-only rendering may help, in the other case cleaning up the system and freeing up space may help. Also it looks like you're directly rendering to a network storage, which isn't advisable unless it's really an ultra fast network and a beefy server. People still underestimate how much network traffic this generates. Rendering the file locally and moving it to the final location later might be a good idea as well.

Hi thanks for your suggestions, i have tried all of them and it still freezes at that same section when exporting, (please see export screenshot for more info).

I am currently exporting it as seperate jpeg images to find the frame or section that is cuasing the problem, but it seems to be exporting fine and has got past that section that was a problem when exporting it as a video.

The forum does not accept ZIP files for security reasons. Feel free to upload to an external storage service like Google Drive and link here. It would also be more productive to provide screenshots of the comp in quastion, render settings and so on rather than the actual project file. Not everyone has the time and will to download and inspect actual projects.

Hi Mylenium,

Thanks for your feedback, I have attached screenshots of the render settings, only thing i changed in the video settings is the bit rate, i move this down to 5, but once i export it starts off fine for 10 mins, then effectively freezes.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Not sure how to take a screenshot of the comp in question. The comp name is

"COMP_background_test" if you want to look at it in detail in After Effects.

You might want to add the project in one zip-file?

Also, can you please share your system info? Like OS and version, CPU, RAM, GPU vRAM, Ae version? Thanks. Also a screen grab of your issue will be helpful.

Hi Joost,

I tried to send it in a zip file and it wouldnt let me. Is there a certain zip format it accepts?

So i'm using Windows 10 Pro, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz, 16.0 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q design.

So i'm trying to export it to go on our Youtube channel, so ideally 1080hd. But when i try it takes hours to complete an export of the compostion "COMP_background_test".

After Effects Version 22.5.0

With regards to screenshots i dont what best to show as I say its an export problem and I dont have any particualr settings or format i want this in, apart from it being in format thats in HD and works you Youtube, so open to suggestions.
