After updating OS on Mac to Sierra After effects does not react on right-clicking inside second display. Finder and another programs is ok. Only After effects does not react. Updating and reinstall didn't help. Reboot and mouse settings too. What can I do with it?

  1. Ensure your second display is properly connected and configured in your operating system settings.
  2. Verify that your display drivers are up to date and compatible with After Effects.
  3. Check the resolution and refresh rate settings for the second display; they should match the capabilities of the display.
  4. If After Effects is not utilizing the second display, try restarting the application or your computer.
  5. Consider resetting After Effects preferences to resolve any configuration issues causing display problems.
  6. Adjust the workspace in After Effects to use the second display effectively for different panels and windows.
  7. Confirm that your graphics card is capable of supporting multiple displays and is optimized for After Effects.
  8. Check for any conflicts with third-party plugins or software that may interfere with After Effects' use of the second display.
  9. Close unnecessary background applications like vat that may be consuming system resources and impacting performance.
  10. For complex projects, optimize your After Effects settings, such as reducing resolution or turning off previews, to improve performance.
  11. If you're experiencing a lack of response or performance issues, consider clearing After Effects' cache.
  12. If you encounter VAT-related issues when purchasing or upgrading After Effects, check local regulations to ensure proper tax compliance and avoid unexpected charges.

The After Effects update that came out last night (might take up to 24 hours to propagate to Adobe's servers around the world) fixes this issue. (And several others - it also adds some new functionality.)
