HELP!!!! Trying to make a simple particle effect of leaves falling, but cant seem to import texture (the option isnt there). I was following this tutorial

Things i've tried:
-Looking up tutorials, but the tutorials seem to have the "texture" option while i dont
-Saw an old reddit thread 6 years ago with the guy having the same issue. Applied the effect to the layer with the texture and it didnt work. Just made squares that were the leaf but enlarged i think.
-Under the same thread it said to close any RAM intensive programs and to check my hardware but from what i can tell everything looks good, and i restarted my after effects after closing everything, but still no change

Specs:
Processor: 2.3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
Graphics: Intel Iris Plus Grahpics 1536 MB
Memory: 16 GB 3733 MHz LPDDR4X
Startup Disk: Macintosh HD
Serial number: C02FQ04QML88
macOS: 15.4.1 (24E263)
To whoever can help u i beg you... my supervisors are not helping TT

Thanks for reaching out, kathryn_4236.

Try using the CC Particle World effects instead of CC Particle System ll. CC Particle World allows you to select a layer as a texture. Here's a tutorial that points out the difference between the two effects: https://adobe.ly/4lVNeQE

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Thanks for the suggestion!! Didnt know CC Particle World would be so different from CC Particle system II. Much more flexible and fits my project alot better.

Super helpful tutorial
